Day of Dungeons

Hi! It's been a while since my last blog post. I'm not exactly great with words, which is one of the reasons I keep procrastinating when it comes to writing. 😅

Something exciting happened a few weekends ago. I attended my first convention of the year! It was called Day of Dungeons, and this year's event took place at the beautiful Sint Peters Abbey in Ghent. The whole event was themed around Dungeons and Dragons, of course. There were Q&A sessions, live podcasts, workshops, and more happening throughout the day. Tickets sold out quickly, which wasn't surprising. The weather gods were definitely on our side too, with sunshine warming us up as spring was approaching.

I'm incredibly grateful to have been chosen as one of the exhibitors. My booth's main attraction was, of course, my mushroom dice bags. The red cap and brown cap mushrooms were my bestsellers. I also brought some experimental designs such as multipocket dice bags, dice bags with fangs, smaller-sized bags, and cat paw dice bags. I'll be adding the leftover stock to my website in the next few weeks, so stay tuned!

I also brought my greeting cards, though space was a bit tight. Instead of displaying them in a big setup, I put together a small portfolio for people to flip through. While it worked, I wasn't entirely happy with how it looked. It didn’t lay flat, and it just didn’t feel as nice as I'd hoped. By my next convention, whenever that may be, I'd love to come up with a better solution.

One of the highlights of the event was hearing from new customers as well as familiar faces returning with sweet anecdotes. One visitor told me her students had gifted her one of my cards ("Weirdough"), which completely made my day. Moments like that are so special, and I’ll cherish that memory. I was also able to introduce new faces to Billy. One step closer to world domination! Haha.

While the convention was a success, I definitely needed two days to recover since social exhaustion hit me hard. But honestly? I'd do it all over again in a heartbeat!
